A GUI interface for mkvtoolnix for extracting data from MKV videos.

There are many different programs which were designed to extract video and audio from video formats, but a lot of those programs don't necessarily support MKV files. MKVCleaver does and it works exclusively with MKV files.

The program overall sports a very simplistic user interface which doesn't require too much mucking around with to get a hand on.

Dealing with MKV files is simple and involved loading them up by either dragging-and-dropping or using the "Open MKV files to process..." button. The interface will display a list of tracks included in the file, allowing you to extract specific data such as subtitle tracks, video tracks and audio tracks.

Before completing a task, an output directory must be set; this can be any local or external (USB, memory card, etc.) directory as long as it has sufficient space. You may also convert H.264 video tracks to AVI.

Converting audio and video with MKVCleaver isn't too time-intensive and thanks to its simplistic user interface, uncomplicated.
